Drawing inspiration from a wide range of influences, including Radiohead, My Chemical Romance, Avril Lavigne, Hole, Pixies and Smashing Pumpkins, Yeule is the ever-evolving musical project of Singaporean songwriter and producer Nat Ćmiel. Taking their name from the Final Fantasy character Paddra Nsu-Yeul, Yeule crafts avant-pop that spans the sonic spectrum from shoegaze, emo and dream-pop to ambient, trip-hop and glitch-pop. Following on from their 2019 debut album, ‘Serotonin II’ and its 2022 follow up, ‘Glitch Princess’, Yeule signed to the iconic Ninja Tune label and released ‘Softscars’ in 2023 and this year’s ‘Evangelic Girl is a Gun’. Sure to be one of the most talked about acts at this year’s festival, this is one act no music fan will want to miss.
新加坡唱作少女 Nat Ćmie 自幼學習鋼琴、結他、爵士鼓等多種樂器，學生時期曾經夾過jazz band，青春期後受到虛擬現實嘅可塑性啟發，決定從電子遊戲系列《Final Fantasty》心愛角色取名，化身異色電子實驗女伶 yeule，以2022年發表嘅《Glitch Princess》確立其獨特藝術人格，藉著甜美旋律紓發各種極端情感。
喺各種大膽聲音拼貼中，yeule 走過早期電幻glitch-pop路線，再混入trip hop、emo、shoegaze及grunge等樂種影響，甚至有以木結他為軀幹嘅〈Don’t Be So Hard on Your Own Beauty〉等清新曲目，曲風相當多元；佢嘅個人造型更係好似打機換skin一樣咁換：既有〈Pocky Boy〉MV嘅鬼魅不良高校生，亦可以係〈Pretty Bones〉五彩繽紛yami-kwaii病嬌女，或者最近上KEXP live嘅腐屍妝等等。
去年 yeule 為A24出品《I Saw The TV Glow》翻玩Broke Social Scene名曲〈Anthems For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl〉而紅出圈外，讓更多新生代樂迷接觸到呢位另類歌手；今年五月再乘勢推出第四張大碟，由 Mura Masa、A.G. Cook 等大牌製作人監工嘅《Evangelic Girl is a Gun》，正以地府歌德女王造型進行世界巡迴嘅 yeule 將於十二月訪港，喺 Clockenflap 2025 同各位樂迷見面。
