With influences that range from Kraftwerk and Grace Jones to Beck and Cornelius, Boris Kor Tom Zeebroek—aka Bolis Pupul—is known for crafting eclectic synthpop that is as offbeat as it is danceable. The son of a Hong Kong-born Chinese mother, Zeebroek started out in the synthpop band Hong Kong Dong before becoming one of the first artists to be signed by the Soulwax-owned record label Deewee. In 2022, he released the album ‘Topical Dancer’ in collaboration with fellow Belgian musician and Deewee artist Charlotte Adigéry, following that up with his solo debut ‘Letter to Yu’ in 2024. 2022年比利時廠牌 DEEWEE 推出實驗電子流行大碟《Tropical Dancer》，既有 Pitchfork 8.2分 Best New Music 認可，亦得到 The Needle Drop 高分好評，製作人 Bolis Pupul 翌年受邀登上Glastonbury舞台，短時間內得到唔少國際indie樂迷注目。
走tour期間，Bolis Pupul 亦完成咗佢構思多年嘅習作 —— 一張從香港開始寫嘅唱片。
Bolis 係比利時香港混血兒，七歲時就從土瓜灣移居比利時嘅佢，2018年首次重返香港，第一次穿過青馬，追溯母親的足跡，到訪馬頭圍道、志蓮淨苑、合和中心等地，街上此起彼落嘅粵語人聲喚起他腦中母親嘅聲線——那一把在十年前（即2008年）因一場車禍而再無機會聽見嘅聲音。
喺離開香港前，Bolis 寫下一首〈Completely Half〉，記錄自己既係陌生旅客，又似遊子歸鄉嗰種「100%？50%？」嘅奇妙感受；而呢首歌最終發展成佢首張個人專輯，於2024年推出嘅《Letter To Yu》，意即給媽媽 Yu Wei Wun（余慧韻）的信。
全碟11首作品糅合 Bolis 擅長嘅舞曲律動，採用復古synth pop風格再喺音色上強調東方色彩，加上取樣碎片去詮釋香港呢個我哋咁熟悉嘅城市：既有幽銅鑼灣一默嘅〈Causeway Bae〉，喺〈Cantonese〉中坦言自己中文依然麻麻（我唔識講廣東話／我嘅普通話／亦都好普通），更有由親妹妹 Salah 獻聲（兩兄妹曾合組樂隊 Hong Kong Dong）嘅〈Ma Tau Wai Road〉（The star ferry takes me closer / a touch of melancholy）。
今個十二月，Bolis Pupul 將會再次嚟到香港，喺 Clockenflap 2025 舞台上作別具意義藝嘅演出，我哋同佢一樣咁期待！
