FAMILY WORKSHOPS BY CHILDREN’S DISCOVERY MUSEUM

Children’s Discovery Museum (CDM) is dedicated to providing child-led learning-through-play experiences. As part of their ongoing collaboration with Clockenflap to provide engaging arts and crafts workshops for all the family, CDM is giving attendees of all ages the chance to make a fantastical music buddy to enrich their time at the festival. HAKGWAI & CHOR LAI

Blending ancient musical traditions such as Mongolian throat singing, handpan echoes and Aboriginal didgeridoo, Hong Kong multi-instrumentalist Hakgwai Lau Chun Ho is known for his musical meditation workshops that promote inner calm and holistic harmony. PEACE ON EARTH: A PIGEON'S STORY BY TREASURE CHEST THEATRE

Clockenflap family favourite Treasure Chest Theatre (TCT) specialises in creating vibrant, interactive theatre productions for children, combining lively entertainment with learning experiences. For this year’s festival, TCT presents the puppet show ‘Peace on Earth: A Pigeon’s Story’, a tale about conquering odds, overcoming bullies and passing on your knowledge to others. RELENTLESS MELT

Generative Abstractions presents a special selection of abstract music videos by Hong Kong artists co-curated by CityUHK’s experimental animation professor Max Hattler and Clockenflap’s artistic director Jay Forster. Adapted for Clockenflap’s vertical LED screens, the programme features music videos which deploy generative AI models like Midjourney and Kling in the service of abstract experimentation, for music artists including Muta and Julien Mier. Relentless Melt is a Hong Kong-based society dedicated to abstract and experimental moving image, regularly hosting screenings in Hong Kong and at festivals and events worldwide.
