SUN KIL MOON 6:15pm • HarbourFlap Stage

Formed from the ruins of Californian alternative folk-rock band Red House Painters in 2002 and named after a cosmically monikered Korean boxer, Sun Kil Moon has evolved to become the musical vehicle for singer-songwriter Mark Kozelek. Brimming with poignant lyrics and nylon-string guitar solos, Kozelek’s music is both bittersweet and mellifluous, simultaneously soothing the ears while tugging incessantly at the heartstrings – a style demonstrated to brilliant effect by last year’s Benji, one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year.
