SHAOLIN FEZ 1:45pm • HarbourFlap Stage

“A wondrous, massive, mishmash of a group,” (Time Out Magazine) SHAOLIN FEZ made their debut at Clockenflap in 2012. The largest original band in Hong Kong, featuring diva Jennifer Palor and led by HK Philharmonic bassist, Samuel Ferrer, the “mini-orchestra” returns with a 14-piece ensemble including luminaries such as HK Phil concertmaster-violinist, Jing Wang, and Principal French Hornist, Russell Bonifede. A uniquely ambitious project in the Hong Kong live music scene, SHAOLIN FEZ has been featured at many rock and jazz festivals, most recently designated to launch the Wine & Dine Festival 2015 at the special opening ceremony. Their debut CD, “Calm Your Storm”, includes 22 professional musicians, a children’s choir, was mixed by one of Hollywood’s most accomplished engineers (of major films such as “Frozen”), and features the acoustic guitar work of a 2012 Grammy nominee. SHAOLIN FEZ has also released 5 music videos.
