KIMIAUSTRALIA & TURKEY
Two become one with Kimi, a shared-spine device that allows participants to experience the world as part of a conjoined duo.
Could physical connectivity be the key to bringing people together metaphorically as well as literally? This is one of the questions asked by Kimi, a shared-spine device that blurs the line between self and other, and between body and space, to allow two people to become a temporarily conjoined human pair. Created by nomadic creative collective Rhizobloom Design Lab, the dual harness connects two people back to back, leading to a spontaneous act of symbiotic choreography in which each half of the duo is an equal and active participant.
