FACE PAINTING AND GLITTER BAR BY ABIGAIL'S FACE AND BODY ART

With a passion for painting since young, Abigail is a self-taught artist who was as a painting teacher to children, party entertainer and commissioned pen and ink / mural artist for private projects and exhibitions before she became a face painting artist six years ago. With increasing demands over the years Abigail now works with a team of experienced artists painting smiles all over Hong Kong.

Face and body painting is fascinating as the artwork comes to life when the model moves, the designs interact with our body and facial features. The challenge that the canvases are three-dimensional, alive and moving makes it more enjoyable, in addition to witnessing the magical mirror moments when you pick up the mirror and show children their painted faces!

As face painting artists we do not serve as only an artist but an entertainer as well, a few minutes for children might seem a long time to them so we have to keep them entertained while painting their faces - This is where the magic happens, we bond with them in just few short minutes. While it maybe just another face paint for some, the memory might last a while for the child so we must make sure it is a great one.

After few years of painting in various events and participating in projects such as the AIA European Carnival, Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, Hong Kong Circus, Hong Kong Disneyland, Mr. Doodle and the Welsh National Opera… etc. Abigail participated in some competitions such as Hohkeyal, the Face Awards HK 2017 and 2018 as well as the Urban Decay Halloween Contest 2017 and have taken home some awards from all three.

In early 2019 she was honored to be part of the first Equatorial Guinea Body Painting

Festival alongside with the world’s best face and body painting artists. As ambassadors they went around local schools painting faces and introducing body art to the community. It was such an eye-opening experience and the community’s reactions were mesmerizing.

It is the joy we experience that makes face and body painting such fun thing to do, the experience itself is a powerful artwork.
