YUEN CHI CHUNG

Yuen Chi-Chung is one of the most widely respected music critics in Hong Kong, and is renown as the founder of the legendary Chinese independent music magazine “Music Colony Bi-weekly” (aka “MCB”).

Yuen started his music critic career in 1987, and has since contributed to many magazines and papers.  He covers a wide range of artists and musical genres.

Yuen established the infamous and influential Hong Kong based music magazine “MCB“ in 1994, and was further responsible for publishing both the mainland China edition and Taiwan editions.

After a decade, MCB magazine decided, on their 10th anniversary, to exclusively provide their content online (www.mcb.com.hk).

Yuen is still an extremely active Chinese music critic, and continues to write for prominent print and online media including: “New Monday”, “East Touch”, “Yahoo! Hong Kong”, “Trendson”, “Hinoter”, “Nanfang Daily” covering Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China.
