THE CRIBS

As Christmas descended upon 2003, a cock sure triumvirate emerged blinking out the mist that engulfed their native homeland...Twins Ryan and Gary Jarman, along with younger brother Ross - The Cribs - armed with nothing less than 100% confidence and an arsenal of songs hit the road running, and along with contemporaries The Libertines and Razorlight defined a burgeoning new scene.

Signed to Wichita Recordings, The Cribs polarized opinions - those who loved them did so with reverence bordering on infatuation whilst others simply thought "this year's new band" and waited for the trip.  Though it never let up and the band went from strength to strength.

Their debut LP "The Cribs" saw the Wakefiled trio impart their own take on Britain's early noughties fascination with all things new wave and post punk.  Follow up "The New Fellas" with chart busting single "Hey Scenesters" soundtracking indie discos from Manchester to Mexico.  "Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever" followed in 2007 before a chance meeting with Johnny Marr (ex-The Smiths) led to the legendary guitarist joining the band for three solid years. Together, they released Top Ten LP "Ignore The Ignorant" in 2009 which cemented the band's position as true UK musical heavyweights.

Marr is no longer a full time member of the group, though the act continue to earn rave reviews with every show they play and everywhere they go.  They've toured with everyone from The Strokes to Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party, and have starred at pretty much every major music event there is across the globe.

Except HK, until now.  Clockenflap are happy as badgers to welcome The Cribs to our happy little island for the very first time!
