Anyone who breaks these rules can be refused entry or be asked to leave the site who no refund. Bag search is required - refusal will result in no admittance.

  • No glass containers of any kind

What kind of camera & recording device can I bring with me?

You are welcome to take photos and recording with your phone or a simple point-and-shoot camera for your own persona purposes. Professional cameras are not permitted at the venue space (no detachable lenses, no tripods, big zooms, or commercial use rigs).

 

 

Can I smoke cigarettes at the festival?

Please be reminded that smoking in some areas of the festival site is prohibited. Therefore designated smoking areas will be provided, please look out for the signs. 

 

 

Is food or drink from outside the festival permitted inside?

No, sorry, but plenty of caterers will be serving delicious food and drinks at the venue - vegetarian choices will be available too. 

 

An exception is that you are permitted to bring food and drink for your baby.

Have fun & stay safe

Clockenflap is all about having fun – but here’s some simple advice to make sure you stay safe.  

 

  • Look After Your Friends – If you see someone who isn’t feeling well, please contact a medic or security staff. They’ll thank you later.

  • Keep Hydrated – Drinks lots and lots of water. It’s good for you! There are free filtered water stations and free reusable water bottles available at the festival site.

  • Pace Yourself – Alcohol can be fun at festivals, but please pace yourself.

  • Take A Break – Whether it’s dancing the night away, or just sitting in the sun, be aware of high temperatures and take the occasional break.

  • Do Not Climb – There is an abundance of space, so please refrain from climbing on things for better views. 

 

 

Zero tolerance to illegal substances and drugs, and underage drinking

Clockenflap has a zero tolerance policy to illegal substances and drugs. Anyone suspected or found in possession will be escorted from the grounds and handed over to the Hong Kong police. Officers will also be actively searching for offenders.

 

Clockenflap has a zero tolerance policy to underage drinking. If you’re under 18 and caught drinking, we’ll confiscate your drinks, escort you from the festival and call your parents or guardians. Seriously, don’t make us do this.

 

 

What happens if it rains on the day?

Clockenflap will go ahead rain, wind or snow.This year there are more shelters around the festival site, so worry less if it rains and come prepared with your raincoat! (Note: Umbrellas are banned from the festival site.)

In the event of an extreme weather event, such as typhoon, information about the opening hours of the festival site will be posted to the festival’s Facebook page.

 

 

Can I bring children to the festival?

Clockenflap is a family-friendly festival, with plenty to do for the kids. Children aged 12 and under can enter for free, and strollers / baby buggies are allowed. Please note there is a maximum of two free children pre one paying adult. 

 

 

Is there a festival app?

Yes, a festival app featuring the schedule, map and other useful information will be available for the start of the festival.

 

 

Is the festival accessible for fans with mobility disabilities?

Yes, fans with disabilities are welcome at Clockenflap and the majority of the site is flat and wheelchair friendly. Please note that only those who have mobility disabilities may use mobility devices. Crutches, wheelchairs and powered wheelchairs are allowed for use by people with mobility disabilities. 

 

Clockenflap is a crowded event. For safety reasons, please ask permission to bring a powered mobility device other than crutches or a wheelchair, particularly if it can move faster than walking speed or is very heavy. Clockenflap personnel may ask individuals using another type of power-driven mobility device for a credible assurance that the device is required because of a disability. Security will impound inappropriate mobility devices until the end of the event.

How do I purchase a ticket?

Will there be tickets available on the day?

Tickets will be available for purchase throughout the festival, both online via our Tickets page and the on-site box office.

 

 

What should I do if I lose my ticket?

If your Clockenflap tickets are electronic tickets issued by Ticketflap and you lose your ticket, you can log into your Ticketflap account and re-download the ticket.

GETTING TO CLOCKENFLAP

Clockenflap 2017 festival location?

Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront.

 

 

Where is the entrance to Clockenflap?

The entrance to Clockenflap is located next to the Hong Kong Observation Wheel and Central Pier No. 10.

 

 

What are the transit options for Clockenflap?

Clockenflap is located at Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront, which is easily accessible by public transport. 

 

MTR

The nearest MTR station is Hong Kong Station / Central Station (the stations are connected), which are terminus stops for the Tung Chung Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line and Airport Express. From Hong Kong Station take Exit A2 or from Central Station take Exit A, and follow the walkway signs towards the Central Star Ferry Pier. At the Ferry Pier, you see the festival to your right – following the promenade around the harbour to reach the festival entrance, which is beyond the observation wheel.

 

Bus

Depending on the bus route, you can alight in Central or the Outlying Ferry Piers and walk to the site.

 

Ferry

The festival entrance is walking distance from all the Central ferry piers, including Pier 2. Park Island, Pier 3. Discovery Bay, Pier 4. Lama Island, Pier 5. Cheung Chau, Pier 6. Peng Chau / Mui Wo, and Pier 7. Star Ferry. The entrance to Clockenflap is located next to the Hong Kong Observation Wheel and Central Pier No. 10.

 

Taxi

Alight at the Star Ferry taxi drop off and walk straight ahead. The festival is approximately 2 to 4 minutes walking distance from the drop off point. Please note that due to the high likelihood of congestion, we recommend taking public transport.

 

 

Are there car parking options?

There is no parking at the venue. The closest public carparks are located at City Hall, IFC and Pacific Place.

 

 

ENTRY & WRISTBANDS

What do I need for entry?

You must bring your ticket and photo ID. Failure to bring ID could significantly slow your entry. The name on the ID must match the name on the ticket.

Our staff will be checking tickets and IDs at the entrance. If the name on your ticket doesn’t match the name on your photo ID, you will be refused entry. Please make sure you’ve updated the name on your ticket if you need to! One ticket is valid for one entry only.

If you have a student ticket, you must bring full time Hong Kong student ID. Festivalgoers with student tickets who fail to produce valid ID to prove their eligibility will need to pay the difference in price to a General Admission ticket in order to enter the festival.

 

 

Do I need a print out of my ticket?

You can either print your ticket or if you have a phone with a big screen transfer the PDF to it.

 

 

What is the functionality of wristband on site?

Use your wristband anywhere on-site to pay for food, drink, merchandise and crafts in craft market. No cash will be accepted anywhere onsite except for when topping up wristbands. To ensure you can re-enter the festival on the same day, you must scan your wristband upon exit.

 

 

Can I exit & re-enter the festival?

Yes. Make sure you scan your wristband upon exit, and be sure to come back via the Re-Entry lane at Main Entrance. Please keep your ticket in case you miss scanning out.

(If you don't scan out, you will not be allowed back in on the same day!)

 

 

Do I need to keep my wristband on overnight if I have a weekend pass? (How to re-enter on the next day?)

Yes. The wristband is waterproof, therefore, please keep it on during the weekend. Cut-off/ torn wristband will not be accepted. Each day when you come back in, you can enter by simply scanning the wristband at entrance. However please bring your weekend ticket and photo ID in case it needs verifying. 

 

 

How can I replace my wristband?

If you need to replace your wristband for any reason, please visit the Help & Info on-site, however, do not cut the wristband off, only intact wristbands will be replaced. Any balance on your old wristband will be transferred to the new wristband.

 

 

ONSITE PAYMENTS

How can I pay for things at the festival?

Use your wristband anywhere on-site to pay for food, drink, merchandise and crafts in craftmarket. No cash will be accepted for purchase anywhere on site. 

 

 

How can I add money to the wristband?

You can top up your wristband at any of our Add Value stations.

 

 

Can I use cash or credit cards on-site?

Clockenflap is a cashless festival. You can top up your wristband at any of our Add Value stations. All add value stations accept cash, credit card and EPS.

 

 

How can I check the balance of the wristband?

You can check your balance at Add Value stations, bars, food outlets or look out for one of our balance checking staff.

 

 

What can I do if I have a remaining balance left on my wristband when the festival finishes?

You can apply online for a refund through Clockenflap.com after the festival. All refunds are at the sole discretion of Clockenflap.

 

 

ONSITE FACILITIES

Will there be free water available at the festival?

There are free filtered-water stations and free giveaway reusable water bottle throughout the site for you to use at your convenience. It is important that you stay hydrated at the festival.

 

 

Is there food and beverages available for purchase at the festival?

Delicious food & drink is an important part of the Clockenflap experience.

 

There will be over 20 food suppliers at Clockenflap this year, including plenty of veggie options and health-conscious options. 

 

 

Will there be phone charging stations at the festival?

Yes, there will be a “PayMe Chill & Charge” area available at the festival.

 

 

Is there any baby changing area at the festival?

A small, private area will be provided for diaper changing and breast feeding in the Future Fields. 

 

 

Are there public toilets at the festival?

Yes, portable toilets with sinks will be available on site and will be cleaned regularly.

 

 

Where is the lost & found?

Found: Please take any found items to Help & Info on-site at the entrance gate.

 

Lost: If you misplace something please check with Help & Info on-site at the entrance gate, as things will be turned in there.

 

 

Where can first aid assistance be found on the site?

Medical tents will be located throughout the festival grounds, and will be clearly marked and visible from afar. Trained EMTs will be on-hand in these tents to address any and all medical incidents, and please don’t be afraid to stop by a medical tent – even if you just have a question. Additionally, if you see anyone at the festival who appears to be in need of medical assistance, please inform a member of our medical or security team, or even help him/her find their way to the medical tent(s). 

 

Anyone bringing medication or a syringe for medical purposes will need to show your medication, prescription and a photo ID at the festival entrance.

 

 

What is the festival’s approach to recycling?

Clockenflap has invested considerable time and money over the years to reduce waste, and to find solutions to recycle as much waste as possible, and Clockenflap 2017 aims to achieve a previously unreached level of recycling for an event in Hong Kong. First and foremost, the festival encourages festivalgoers to take ownership of their waste, and to put plastic cups into the recycling stations provided. The festival will have recycling stations throughout the site with clear signage and dedicated staff to help festivalgoers separate their waste into the correct bins, and Clockenflap has collaborate with WWF Hong Kong for on-site recycling education.

Every cup and container handed out at the festival will be 100% recyclable, and the festival doesn’t allow plastic straws, stirrers or landfill-generating gimmicks from our sponsors, while food suppliers are restricted from using plastic packaging and cutlery too.

 

 

Will there be ATMs on site?

There are no ATMs on the site, so bring cash / credit card / EPS with you. The nearest ATMs are at Pier number 7, Hong Kong Station MTR or at IFC Mall.

 

 

Will there be onsite free Wi-Fi?

Sorry - there'll be no public WIFI service available at the festival site.

 

 

Are there storage spaces at the festival?

No lockers or storage spaces will be provided, so remember to pack light.

 

 

Can I camp at the festival?

No, there is no camping at the festival venue. Please note, there are plenty of hotels in the area for those wishing to stay close to the festival. 

 

 

REFUNDS

What can I do if I have a remaining balance left on my wristband when the festival finishes?

You can apply online for a refund through the Clockenflap.com from Tuesday 21st November, 2017 (10:00 HKT) until Sunday 10th December, 2017 (23:59 HKT).. All refunds are at the sole discretion of Clockenflap.

 

 

What is the process of refund for Hong Kong residents?

After the festival has finished, visit Clockenflap.com and select the refunds page. Input the code from the back of the tag on your wristband, some personal details and your Hong Kong bank account details, or PayMe ID and mobile number. Click here for more information on the PayMe refund process.

 

At Clockenflap’s sole discretion you will receive payment for your unspent balance, free of charge. Re-issuance of e-cheques upon expiry or name correction will be charged HKD30 as a handling fee.

 

 

What is the process of refund for international visitors?

After the festival has finished, visit Clockenflap.com and select the refunds page. Input the code from the back of the tag on your wristband, some personal details and your bank account details.


At Clockenflap’s sole discretion you will receive payment for your unspent balance by international bank draft in by mail. Please note that refunds granted to overseas accounts will have HKD110 deducted for handling fees (bank and postal).

 

 

When will I receive the refund after refunds submission?

Refund to HK bank accounts and international back accounts will be made by Monday December 18th 2017; PayMe refunds will be credited in just 8 days. Subject to all information submitted being correct.

The festival will have recycling stations throughout the site with clear signage and dedicated staff to help festivalgoers separate their waste into the correct bins, and Clockenflap has collaborate with WWF Hong Kong for on-site recycling education.

Every cup and container handed out at the festival will be 100% recyclable, and the festival doesn’t allow plastic straws, stirrers or landfill-generating gimmicks from our sponsors, while food suppliers are restricted from using plastic packaging and cutlery too.

 

 

Will there be ATMs on site?

There are no ATMs on the site, so bring cash / credit card / EPS with you. The nearest ATMs are at Pier number 7, Hong Kong Station MTR or at IFC Mall.

 

 

Will there be onsite free Wi-Fi?

Sorry - there'll be no public WIFI service available at the festival site.

 

 

Are there storage spaces at the festival?

No lockers or storage spaces will be provided, so remember to pack light.

 

 

Can I camp at the festival?

No, there is no camping at the festival venue. Please note, there are plenty of hotels in the area for those wishing to stay close to the festival. 

 

 

What can I do if I have a remaining balance left on my wristband when the festival finishes?

You can apply online for a refund through the Clockenflap.com from Tuesday 21st November, 2017 (10:00 HKT) until Sunday 10th December, 2017 (23:59 HKT).. All refunds are at the sole discretion of Clockenflap.

 

 

What is the process of refund for Hong Kong residents?

After the festival has finished, visit Clockenflap.com and select the refunds page. Input the code from the back of the tag on your wristband, some personal details and your Hong Kong bank account details, or PayMe ID and mobile number. At Clockenflap’s sole discretion you will receive payment for your unspent balance, free of charge. Re-issuance of e-cheques upon expiry or name correction will be charged HKD30 as a handling fee.

 

 

What is the process of refund for international visitors?

After the festival has finished, visit Clockenflap.com and select the refunds page. Input the code from the back of the tag on your wristband, some personal details and your bank account details.


At Clockenflap’s sole discretion you will receive payment for your unspent balance by international bank draft in by mail. Please note that refunds granted to overseas accounts will have HKD110 deducted for handling fees (bank and postal).

 

 

When will I receive the refund after refunds submission?

Refund to HK bank accounts and international back accounts will be made by Monday December 18th 2017; PayMe refunds will be credited in just 8 days. Subject to all information submitted being correct.
