The return of Ride has been the reforming band story of the year. The Oxford quartet are bonafide indie legends, with four albums and a legion of fans across the globe many of which, never got to experience them live.
A beloved ‘band’s band’, they not only defined a scene in the early 1990’s, though also it’s cyclical return in more recent years, by influencing a whole new wave of wall-of-sound guitar groups of the current generation.
So in a time of great band reunions, Ride has been one of the most dearly anticipated, and more crucially, unlike several that have come before, they’re sounding better than ever. Rejuvinated with the re-discovery of the joys of playing music together and sharing that regeneration with the world.
Happy Ride. Happy Clockenflap!
