Joves (Jovelyn Fuego) was born in the Philippines but has lived in Hong Kong since she was four, the city she calls home is one of the biggest inspirations for all her songs, second only to her friends. 
Her unique acoustic originals have been described as a fusion of jazz, bossa nova, contemporary and alternative pop, rock, & folk – You have to hear it!  Her musical and vocal influences range from Rickie Lee Jones to Doris Day to Aretha Franklin and from Jeff Buckley to Donald Fagen to the Beatles. Her local performance credits include; two Rockit festivals, gigs with Patrizio Buanne, Jonny Blu and countless bar and club gigs. She has also fronted Hong Kong’s very own jazz big band - the Stray Katz.
Numerous praising articles have been written about her and her original music in HK Magazine and BC Magazine. She has also performed her music twice on RTHK radio.
